About the Project

A performance project with students from the departments of composition, conducting, voice, music pedagogy, dance pedagogy, and stage design (Mozarteum); musicology, linguistics, German language and literature studies, philosophy, and biology (Paris-Lodron-University of Salzburg); multimedia art (Salzburg University of Applied Sciences) and Andreas Jakober, university parish priest and rector of Salzburg University Church.

Salzburg University Church
For the participants of the DanceMusicTheater Laboratory, Salzburg University Church, which was inaugurated 300 years ago (in 1707) for the students of the Faculty of Catholic Theology, presents both as a special architectural space and as a fascinating sound space with an unusually long echo which inspires special kinds of dialogue. Moreover, the church is also a place imbued with cultural and religious tradition and institutionalization, the implications of which have led to a series of inquiries and performative images.
