About the Project
Stage 1: Washroom
Washroom (partly an exposed old basement vault, partly a newly installed washroom):
What is one raw for one person is cooked for another (greetings from Claude Lévi-Strauss).
Rough and smooth, dirty and clean become mirrors of forms of life. The “useless” wall ties in an exposed, unfinished basement wall ultimately pose questions between dust and white tiles ...
(Film Wall Ties)
Stage 2: Basement walls
Over there and over here, two places of action, of creation, of giving birth. The basement wall becomes a membrane.
